Goals/Objectives:

The Apple Cookie & Chocolate Company (ACCC) had an existing site with little to no functionality and wished to upgrade their site to a business-to-business 'Net Commerce solution.
|

Special Needs:
|
ACCC needed secure order-taking capability, custom shipping options, the ability to manage products and categories, and a means by which site visitors could upload their corporate logos/graphics for custom orders. ACCC also needed an email list and newsletter management system.

Process:
|
Webmaster, Inc. subcontracted this job through a third-party development company. The third-party defined the scope of the website, the various sections, and the underlying function of each section and provided Webmaster, Inc. with a previously written B2B program for modification and customization. Once the general structure of the website was determined, ACCC provided their company logo, product images, and text for each section. Webmaster, Inc. then developed a mockup of the design for approval. When the design was agreed to, Webmaster, Inc. integrated the text and functionality into the design. Webmaster, Inc. took the application's existing database and ColdFusion source code and re-wrote several sections to facilitate the client's specific needs. ACCC reviewed the site for errors and changes. Once approved, ACCC principles were trained to use the custom software's backend management tools. Finally, SSL was implemented and the site went "live".
